Marta Giaccone is a freelance photographer based between Milan, her hometown, and Tallinn, Estonia. What she loves the most are portrait and documentary photography. She is interested in many things, but especially in observing the relationships within families (projects on teenage mothers; on twins) and between small communities and the landscapes they inhabit (projects on a tiny island in Italy and one in Estonia). She also loves talking to strangers while traveling across the US (project on utopia).
Evolving through long-term documentary projects shot on medium and large format film, her photographic practice enables a more intimate and contemplative approach. She has had three solo shows.
In her spare time, she walks (and takes more photos).
